ABC News host George Stephanopoulos pressed President Joe Biden on his mental and physical fitness in a new interview where Biden declared himself the most “qualified” to beat Donald Trump in November.

During a sit-down with Stephanopoulos that was originally intended to air Sunday, Biden defended his mental fitness after his CNN debate with Trump and said he’s remaining as nominee, ribbing Stephanopoulos at one point, saying, “you’ve had some bad interviews!”

During their interview, Stephanopoulos said he wanted to ask a “tougher, more personal question” and dove into whether the president is qualified to be in office, while Biden called his opponent a “pathological liar.”

“Are you sure you’re being honest with yourself when you say you have the mental and physical capacity to serve another four years?” the former Bill Clinton advisor asked.

“Yes, I am, because, George, the last thing want to do is not be able to meet that,” the president said.

“Are you being honest with yourself as well about your ability to beat Donald Trump right now?” Stephanopoulos asked, noting Trump is ahead in most polling.

    “Yes, yes, yes,” Biden insisted.

The president says he doesn’t “buy” into the current poll numbers.

“Is it worth the risk?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“I don’t think anyone is more qualified to be president or to win this race than me,” Biden said.
