    Falling rock injures hiker near Bonneville Dam

    PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — After being hit by a falling rock, a woman fell while hiking near Bonneville Dam on Friday, authorities say.

    According to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, the hiker fell less than a mile up the trail at Wahclella Falls.

    Another hiker passing by was able to give her first aid and control bleeding for “some type of laceration,” officials said.

    Cascade Locks Fire has made contact with the hiker and her current condition is unknown at this time.
