Eric Andre responds to Jeopardy! contestants who didn't know who he was

Comedian Eric Andre was humbled after he was an answer on Jeopardy! - and no one got it right.

The star must have been watching the hit game show from home as Zoe Strassfield, Matt Brooks, and Cat Pisacano competed on Monday night. One of the Double Jeopardy clues, for $2,000 showed Eric's face on screen with the clue: "On his Adult Swim show, this host destroys his set every episode, but says he is sedated in real life: 'I meditate, jog, I eat salad.'"

After the host Ken Jennings read the clue out, the camera panned to the three silent contestants as no one buzzed in to answer. After the time was up, Ken revealed it was the host of the Eric Andre Show.

The actor took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the hit to his ego. He shared a video clip from the the show that showed the clue and silence that followed.

"Damn they left me hanging @jeopardy," Eric captioned the post teasingly, adding a laughing face emoji and an emoji of a cricket. His followers flooded the comments with their thoughts on the Jeopardy!

One person commented: "I saw this live and said 'These people have no knowledge of the arts.'" Another added: "You can really hear Ken’s disappointment."

The game ended with Matt Brooks winning with $10,600. The next day Matt was ousted as champion by Kelly Proulx, and then she was defeated the day after by Isaac Hirsch.

Isaac is holding the current champion title with a three-day streak of $70,186. He told Ken during the first game that his father was on Jeopardy! in the 80s, but didn't win.

Eric Andre hosts The Eric Andre Show on Adult Swim, a humorous late-night show that parodies low-budget public access shows. Various celebrities are interviewed by Eric, and the show has spawned memes and quotes such as "Why are you booing me, I'm right," and "Why would you say something so controversial yet so brave?"
