Buddy Hield spoke about being traded to the Golden State Warriors and playing with Stephen Curry . When asked at a FIBA Olympic qualifying tournament about what Warriors fans can expect from him, he told them that he just wants the franchise to get back to their championship-winning ways, and wants to learn from Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins.

“Just go there and let them know that I’m a kid that loves playing. I want to go there and win and try to get them back on top. All I can do is help to get back on top. It’s fun, man."

"They made the game so easy over there. So hopefully, being with Steph, I’ll be able to watch him and learn from him. Just learn from all the key guys like Draymond and Wiggins and be on a championship-caliber team.”

Buddy Hield is a perfect fit for the Warriors. Hield actually has led the league right behind Stephen Curry for the most three-pointers made in the last five seasons. His three-point shooting ability also makes him the best replacement for Klay Thompson, who left the Warriors to join the Mavericks in free agency.

Hield actually had the chance to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, a team he has been linked with for years. Instead, he chose to sign with the Warriors, as he felt that he had a better chance of playing winning basketball with them . In fact, his head coach with the Bahamas, Chris Demarco, helped convince him to join the Warriors.

Where Do The Golden State Warriors Go After End Of Dynasty?

With the departure of Klay Thompson from the Warriors, it marks the end of their historic dynasty team. Thomspon took to Instagram to share a heartfelt goodbye with the Warriors fanbase and organization. He thanked them all for the support they have given him over the years.

"Oh Bay Area, there are not enough words and images to convey how I really feel about y'all. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for the best times of my life. It was such an honor to put that Dubs jersey on from day 1."

"I really just wanted to be the best I could be and help bring as many championships as possible to the region. The best part was not the rings though, it was the friendships I made that will last a lifetime. My family and I would like to thank all of the amazing people who work tirelessly to make the Warriors organization world-class. Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened. Until we meet again. Sea captain out."

Hield has some massive shoes to fill now that Thompson is out of the Warriors. Hield averaged 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists last season, which was down from the previous season, but that could be because he was traded mid-way through the season to the 76ers.

The Warriors will be looking to add more talent to their roster going forward. They are one of the teams who have been linked with Utah Jazz star Lauri Markkanen. But they will have to give up a lot in order to land the Finnish star. The situation with Markkanen and the Warriors is one to keep an eye on.
