A 14-year-old American boy is missing in Europe after disappearing from cruise ship as his family fears he was "lured" away.

Aydin Brown, 14, vanished from the Caribbean Princess Cruise in Germany after leaving the ship at 7:30am on July 4 while docked in Warnemünde, Germany, on the Baltic Sea. Now, his grandmother fears that he was "lured" from the ship.

Princess Cruises said it is “actively collaborating with German law enforcement on a missing person’s case involving a 14-year-old young man who disembarked from the Caribbean Princess in Warnemunde on Thursday morning without an escort.”

On social media, Brown's cousin - Anne Yaktiyol - said the family thinks he may have been taken away by a stranger. She wrote: “My worst nightmare continues to unroll. Aydin remains missing. It appears once he left the ship in Warnemunde, Germany, he may have been lured away.”

According to Fox News, the 14-year-old got into an argument with his grandmother - which led him to leave the ship. On Thursday night, she left the ship and is currently being assisted by Princess Cruises employees in Germany

The company has also arranged for Brown’s mother to fly to Germany, and said: "We greatly appreciate the swift response and ongoing efforts of the local authorities in their search for the young man."

Police are looking for a witness who appeared on surveillance footage to be out with Brown on Thursday morning before his disappearance. Authorities are asking the witness to report to the police as soon as possible.

The teen is described as approximately 5’8″ tall, with brown hair and brown eyes and weighing around 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray, zip-up hoodie and dark pants. He was also carrying a large black backpack with “AMAZON” written on the front.

It comes as four divers have been miraculously found by the US Coast Guard after going missing off Cape Fear during a pleasure cruise.

The missing men, who have not been named, were rescued by the Coast Guard and US Navy assets after they were found about 46 miles southeast of the Cape Fear River in North Carolina. The divers had been on a craft called 'Big Bill's' when they failed to resurface. The current sea state was about 2-3ft with 10-knot winds, which were favorable conditions, as crews continued the search throughout the night.

An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew; an HC-130 Hercules aircraft crew; an HC-130 aircraft crew; a 47-foot motor lifeboat crew; the Coast Guard Cutter Sailfish, an 87-foot patrol boat; and the Coast Guard Cutter Yellowfin were all dispatched to help locate the missing divers.

The crews in the search were also from North and South Carolina and contain some as far as Sandy Hook in New Jersey, according to officials.
