Stephen Curry is not only the NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers but also an individual whose life revolves around basketball. Moreover, unlike many who achieve superstar status and become aloof, the two-time MVP has always remained humble and approachable to fans on as well as off the court. A prime example of his down-to-earth occurred when Steph ditched golfing activities to spontaneously teach a young group of boys how to shoot in their own backyard.

Steph ditched gold to give shooting lessons

For many NBA players, golf serves as a relaxing diversion, allowing them to temporarily disconnect from their basketball commitments and enjoy a different sport. Despite his golf proficiency, Steph found himself unable to resist the allure of basketball when he spotted young boys playing nearby.

In a surprising turn of events, the 10-time All-Star abandoned his golfing clubs and crossed the fence to give an impromptu lesson to them.

"On what was then the 11th hole, a par-4 that runs along the edge of a residential neighborhood, Curry sees a couple of boys shooting hoops in a backyard. So, he drops his clubs, heads over to the tall fence that separates the course from the homes, and asks the stunned kids if he can join them," Josh Sens wrote in a Golf.com story . "Curry scales the fence and gives the kids an impromptu shootaround they’ll never forget."

Curry has always been humble with his teammates as well

While some naysayers might consider being humble and polite to young fans a common trait among NBA players, they underestimate Steph’s true character. His humility and politeness extend not only to his young fans but also to his teammates.

The 2022 Finals MVP never forgets to appreciate or thank those who have significantly contributed to his career. A prime example of this was when he broke the 3-point shooting record. In gratitude, he gifted engraved Rolex watches to Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala - the two teammates who assisted on most of his career threes.

That being said, while Chef may not be in the same GOAT discussions as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan, he might well be remembered as the most humble superstar who stepped foot in the league.
