Following her win, Willow Nightingale was interviewed by Alicia Atout on how she was feeling. The former AEW TBS Champion mentioned that she feels incredible and that she knew that Statlander would be a tough opponent. Nightingale is also proud of herself for being able to move on from Statlander and the betrayal. She also had a message for her next challenger. Nightingale won the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament last year and is aiming to be the first person to win the tournament twice and punch her ticket to All In London.
“Uhmmm…. Incredible is one word. I am not surprised because I have a lot of faith in myself. I am very proud of myself that I have moved on. Kris Statlander is someone I’ve known for years, years, and years. And as much as we might not see eye to eye right now, I knew she would be a tough opponent. Still pulled through for myself. So, whoever my opponent is, next week in Calgary, I already know that I can win The Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. It’s up to whoever you are, to prove to me that you might be able to do it too. Because after that, I already have it written in my schedule. I am going to Wembley, August 25th. So, I will see you all there,” Willow Nightingale said.
Next week, Mariah May will be wrestling Hikaru Shida in the Semi-Finals.
Can Willow Nightingale make history by winning the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament for the second time?
