For the first time since 2018, Baker National Golf Course will co-host the Twin Cities Championship. The tournament will span two-days starting at Theodore Wirth Golf Club on June 29 before finishing at Baker on June 30.

According to the Minnesota Golf Association (MGA) website, the tournament raises money for the Fairway Foundation, an organization created by the 3M Championship, the MGA, and the Minnesota Section of the PGA that introduces inner city youth to golf.

Podium finishers at the event are awarded MGA Player Points.

Matt Opsal of Dahlgreen Golf Club was crowned champion last year when the tournament was played at Theodore Wirth Golf Club and Hastings Golf Club.

Erik Bredesen won in 2018, the last time Baker National co-hosted, with a final score of 147 (3 over par).

The Junior divisions of the Twin Cities Championship will tee off at Victory Links Golf Course in Blaine on July 8, while the Seniors will play at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club in Lakeville on July 31.

Prospective players older than 50 can still submit entry forms for the Senior Championship by July 21. Four prizes will be awarded; Seniors and Masters, Gross and Net. The Senior group is bracketed between 50-64 years old, while Masters are 65 and older.
