Japan forward Takuma Asano signed for Mallorca from Bundesliga side Bochum on Saturday.

The 29-year-old - at Bochum since 2021 - has left on a free transfer and penned a two-year deal, the LaLiga club said in a statement.

Asnao scored six goals in 31 league and play-off matches last term. Bochum saved their Bundesliga status with an incredible comeback to beat Fortuna Dusseldorf in the play-off. They lost 3-0 at home before winning 3-0 away and then prevailing on penalties.

Asano arrives in Mallorca just days after Borussia Dortmund's Mateu Morey returned to his youth side on the Spanish island.
