Dealing with debts can be challenging, and knowing how to effectively clear them tends to depend on each individual situation. But what happens when you feel like you can’t clear them yourself?

One woman has taken to TikTok to reveal how she’s managing her debts when she can’t afford to clear them by herself. Mom-of-one , Elyse, who describes herself as the ‘Queen of No Spend Challenge’ explained how she has almost $16,000 worth of debt , and is doing everything that she can to clear it.

Elyse explained how she "hates" when she hears the single mom "sob story" in regards to getting help with debts. But, she is now using her social media account to try and earn the money she needs to pay off her own debts.

She said: “I use all my digital sales from this page, I use my TikTok Creator fund, I also use other money from any other side hustles to pay off my debt.

“I hate the sob story of being a single mum trying to do all this, but I am, I'm trying to create such a better life for my son right now and I know that money isn't the answer to every problem, but being debt free eliminates so many problems.”

She then added: “So if you've been around for a while and you like and comment and share my TikToks in order to support me, I am just so appreciative of you. And if you're new here, welcome - I am working on paying off debt, I am a single mum, I live in Nebraska, I share my budget, I share all sorts of things here."

The content creator, who has over 150,000 TikTok followers, revealed that she’s part of the TikTok Creator Fund, which she is using to help clear her debts. The mom, who has dubbed herself a ‘money mentor’ took to her social media to explain how she, like many other influencers, is using the Creator Fund to clear her debts.

In order to be part of the TikTok fund, users need over 10,000 followers and must share videos that are over one minute long and get over 100,000 views, with users paid on a sliding scale depending on how well their videos do. When it comes to how much each creator can earn, the amount is worked out based on a wide range of factors, including number of video views and how authentic the views are considered to be by TikTok, in addition to how much relevant engagement the video gets.

In a bid to earn the money she needs to pay off her debts, Elyse is creating long TikTok videos, which she hopes will perform well or even go viral, so that she can be paid a higher amount for her content. The mom revealed that she has $17,751 of debt and she hopes to be able to pay it off.
