Watch The Rolling Stones Deliver a Touring Premiere Performance for a 1968 Fan-Favorite Track

Stepping on stage during the rock era of music, the Rolling Stones seemed to propel the British Invasion of the 1960s to the forefront of music. With hit songs like “Paint It, Black”, “Gimme Shelter”, and “Jumpin Jack Flash”, the band sold a staggering 250 million albums and even won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Ranked one of the greatest bands of all time by Rolling Stone, the group recently took the stage in Vancouver, Canada to give a stunning performance of “Street Fighting Man.”

Given their long list of hit songs, the Rolling Stones decided to give the fans a chance to decide which song they would perform. Allowing them to vote, the songs included, “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)”, “All Down the Line”, “Out of Control”, and “Street Fighting Man.” On the 1968 album Beggars Banquet, fans wanted nothing more than to hear the band play the song. With a massive stage behind them, the Rolling Stones mesmerized those in attendance as they took them on a trip to 1968.

Mick Jagger Discusses Touring At His Age With The Rolling Stones

Currently on their Hackney Diamonds road trip, the Rolling Stones are nearing the end of their tour. And given that singer Mick Jagger is on the cusp of turning 81 years old, the star discussed what it was like to hit the stage at his age. He told AZcentral about touring when younger. “ You were younger and more crazy, more excited. And you were new. You weren’t like treated like legends and all this. But you’re the same person doing the same thing, even doing some of the same songs, so in some ways, it’s the same. But it’s a different time in the world, so there’s a different vibe. It’s the same, but only different, yeah.”

Although getting older, the band continues to record as they released their latest album, Hackney Diamonds, back in 2023. Adding new music to their concerts, Jagger explained, “I love playing the old songs and all that. But it’s great to be able to have something new, because you haven’t done it before. It’s a challenge to you to get it over to the audience and see if they like it, to see if they want to hear it.”
