NBA legend Charles Barkley was never at a loss for words. He would try his best to get his message across, even if it meant running after a game official to accomplish it.

Unfortunately for Sir Charles, such actions came at a cost. Barkley received countless technical fouls, fines, and suspensions. One such incident happened in January 1993 when the "Round Mound of Rebound" played for the Phoenix Suns .

Chuck was livid after a final play when a referee did not call a foul as he attempted a potential game-tying three-pointer against the New York Knicks. According to the 5th overall of the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1984 Draft, Anthony Mason had fouled him, and the non-call cost the Suns the game, 106-103.

Charles became incensed and argued with game official Jim Clark, who had told him that his behavior could result in a fine. This ticked the Auburn product off, and he vaulted the press table and hounded the NBA referee into the hallway.

That incident cost Barkley a hefty $10,000 fine. After that, he issued his statement but stood pat on his belief that the officiating was questionable in that matchup.

"What I did was wrong. I'm obviously just going to have to deal with getting suspended for a game," Barkley said via UPI at the time.

Chuck had trouble controlling his emotions

After years in the league, Barkley maintained his passion for the game. He was an emotional player and placed a huge weight on winning games. Rather than sulk, the 6-foot-6 player would move on after setbacks. Charles understood it was no use crying over spilled milk. The show should go on.

"You do something wrong in life, it really doesn't matter if you regret it or not. It's over with. You just have to deal with the repercussions," the 1993 NBA MVP said after his actions that year.

Barkley's demeanor extended off the court

Charles was not spared from getting into trouble off the court with his kind of conduct. Like any player, it was impossible to tell when some rowdy individual would foolishly try to get on the wrong side of Chuck.

One such incident happened in 1997. Barkley was involved in a bar fight after a 20-year-old threw two cups filled with ice his way. That enraged Charles, a common emotion that any person would feel. The NBA star would end up throwing that guy through a glass window despite the intervention of an off-duty officer.

Considering that he played until 2000, Charles appeared to have learned his lesson. His demeanor remained, although his knack for getting into trouble was toned down. However, regarding giving his two cents worth, most know that Barkley will never think twice up to this day. He will say what he wants and could care less about whether critics agree with him or not.
