Previously, Stevie Nicks has spoken out about how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted her, feeling as though it's robbed her of precious time during what she considers her final vibrant years in music. She lamented: "This pandemic is more than just a pandemic for me. This is stealing what I consider to be my last youthful years," reports the Mirror .

Nicks has been candid about her sense of urgency, emphasizing her desire to perform, create new music, and not waste time waiting for the pandemic to end. She poignantly reflected on the uncertainty of future live events, questioning: "I don't have just 10 years to hang around and wait for this thing to go away. I have places to go, people to sing for, another album to make. With every day that goes by, it's like taking this time away from me. That I think is the hardest thing. Will it be safe next year for us to walk into Madison Square Garden in New York? I don't know that it will."

Stevie, who has an estimated net worth of $73 million, was born as Stephanie Nicks in Phoenix, Arizona. Her father Jess, the president of the renowned Greyhound bus company, taught her to sing duets with him when she was just four years old.

By her 16th birthday, she had written her first song on a guitar she received as a gift. She crossed paths with Lindsey Buckingham during high school and they continued their journey together into university. Stevie had initially planned to become an English teacher, but she decided to drop out to chase a music career alongside Lindsey, releasing the album 'Buckingham Nicks' in 1973.

Despite their efforts, the album didn't make much of a splash and Stevie found herself juggling odd jobs to keep their musical dream alive. "I had nothing," she remembers. "I was a waitress and a cleaning lady. I was the main breadwinner. It was a lot of fun but it was hard."

Their luck changed when Fleetwood Mac invited Buckingham to join them as their singer-guitarist. He insisted that Stevie join as well, which marked the beginning of their incredible journey.

After the original line-up led by blues guitar genius Peter Green fell apart, the band made a daring move from England to the US in pursuit of fame and fortune. Their gamble paid off when Stevie and her boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham joined the band. Their very own 'Gold Dust Woman' became an ethereal stage icon and the group went on to produce a series of hit albums.
