Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark secured WNBA history against the New York Liberty on Saturday. Clark recorded the first triple-double by a rookie in league history, sparking thousands of reactions online. WNBA legend Rebecca Lobo shared her honest thoughts on the incredible feat, showing high praise for Clark after the Fever's 83-78 victory.

When Clark notched her triple-double, she had 15 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds. At the game's finale, the rookie recorded 19 points, 13 assists, and 12 rebounds.

"There have been a lot of rookies since 1997," said Lobo via X.

Clark came into the league as the No. 1 overall pick in 2024, and she's surely lived up to the hype.

While she's been successful in her rookie season, she's also dealt with some struggles, shooting 33.7% from beyond the arc and 39.1% from the field.

There have been some growing pains for Clark, but as Lobo explained, there have been so many rookies that have played through their first year in the league, and no one has made an impact quite like Clark.

The league's Rookie of the Year debate is heating up, but it seems Clark has sole possession of the driver's seat. She's mainly competing with Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese, who's averaging 13.9 points and a league-leading 11.7 rebounds.

Lobo's comments on Clark truly shows the respect from a WNBA legend to a young star in the league. Clark has put the league on notice at 22 years old.
