Officials continue search for man that fell into lake while paddleboarding

COULEE CITY, Wash. -- First responders are continuing to search for a 28-year-old missing man in Banks Lake on Sunday.

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, the man fell into the lake and did not resurface Friday morning.

Officials said the man was paddleboarding with a woman when the two people encountered windy conditions. The man fell into the water and the woman made it to shore.

Saturday's search included searching by boat or personal watercrafts and using drones.

On Sunday around 3:30 p.m., GCSO said deputies returned to the scene to continue their search but that thick vegetation under the water made it difficult.

The identity of the man has not been released.
