Traveling Rich: The Cost To Vacation in Dubai Like the Wealthy
By J. Arky,

The best part of travel is not the destination or the journey, but the ability to live like you are in the lap of luxury. For the uber-wealthy, this is not a problem, especially in places where wealth abounds, such as Dubai. Over the last twenty years, Dubai has established itself as an epicenter that millionaires and billionaires call home.
For the first six months of 2021, the number of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) went up by 3.8% to 54,000, amounting to about 36 billionaires calling themselves residents of Dubai.
So then how much is a vacation to this Middle Eastern destination filled with class, money, and decadence? Well, if you want to travel and get the best that Dubai has to offer, you need to vacation like the upper crust.
Sure, you could opt for an Airbnb, but if you are living the good life–also known as the rich one– you should indulge in a suite at the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab . This luxury hotel is one of the major players in the Dubai skyline, a sail-shaped hotel that treads water atop The Gulf. In your accommodations, you get Hermes amenities, service from personal butlers, and the keys to the Burj Al Arab’s private beach.
Food
Price: Starting at $82.00 (302 AED)
Meal : 1
Guests: 2
To call Al Hadheerah a restaurant does not do it justice. This is a food experience under the stars where guests of means can relish in cuisine from ten cooking stations with chefs preparing everything from classic dishes like lamb ouz i, shawarma, hummus and tabbouleh, along with desserts such as kunafa and baklava. There is a required 150 AED deposit per person (about $41.00) and then the cost goes up from there depending on what you order.
Transportation
Price: Starting at $2.17 ( 8 AED)
Length of Ride: About 30 Minutes
There are buses and trains all around Dubai, but if you are traveling rich and want to see all the sights from the privacy of your own vehicle, a taxi is the best way to get around. The base fare comes to about $2.17, with a minimum ride costing about a quarter of that.
According to Dubai Taxi, “Taxis in Dubai don’t have set rate fees for journeys around the city, instead, they use a taximeter based on distance that is government regulated. The base price for taking a Dubai taxi changes depending on your location and time of day, but the price per [kilometer] is always the same.
That means that a ride from Dubai to Sharjah–which is about 25 minutes–would cost $9.76 during the day and $10.85 at night. A much longer trip, one lasting about 1 hour and 40 minutes, would be that of Dubai to Abu Dhabi, with a fare costing $65.08 during the day and $67.25 at night.
