    Deputies arrest one after fatal Northern California stabbing

    (FOX40.COM) — According to deputies, a person was found dead early Saturday morning following a stabbing in Northern California.

    The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department said the incident happened just after midnight on 1129 North Beale Road.

    Yuba County deputies said they responded to calls of a physical disturbance. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found someone with stab wounds who was immediately taken to a nearby hospital.

    Medical staff said later that the victim died from their injuries.

    Detectives began their investigation into the matter, and after reviewing security footage, were able to identify 27-year-old Michael Collier of Linda as the suspect.

    Collier was arrested for homicide and booked into a Yuba County jail, the sheriff’s department said.
