LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A two-car crash at the intersection of East Vermontville Highway and Lansing Road in Eaton County sent two people to the hospital this weekend.

Eaton County officials responded to the crash at around 4:42 Saturday afternoon, said Sgt. Aaron Campbell with Eaton County Office of the Sheriff.

He said the initial investigation shows one vehicle was headed southbound on Lansing Road and the other was eastbound on Vermontville Highway when they collided at the intersection, with one car hitting the other broadside.

The two people both have non-life-threatening injuries, Sgt. Campbell said.

The intersection was closed for up to an hour after the accident, and is now open again to traffic.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
