Skip Bayless Calls Out Bronny James Over Summer League Mishap That Reminds Him Of LeBron James

Bronny James made his NBA Summer League debut on Saturday, scoring four points in just over 20 minutes of action, a statline eerily similar to his freshman year statistics with Coach Andy Enfield and the USC Trojans' basketball program.

Following the game national sports pundit Skip Bayless was in a critical mood as he called out Bronny James on social media.

"Uh-oh," Bayless said. "Don't tell me this is going to be like father, like son."

"Bronny missed both of his first two free throws," the Fox Sports 'Undisputed' host continued. "Surely he'll prove to be an 88 percenter. Has to be at just short of (6-feet-2 inches tall)."

The Lakers lost by a final score of 108-94 to the Sacramento Kings.

Bronny James shot 2-of-9 from the field, 0-for-3 from three-point range and 0-for-2 from the charity stripe.

Lakers first round pick Dalton Knecht added 12 points on three-of-nine shooting from the field while 6-foot-8 rookie forward and former Pittsburgh Panthers star Blake Hinson led Los Angeles with 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting.

Bayless criticized Bronny James' shooting form at times in a series of posts but also complimented the number 55 overall NBA Draft pick on his defense.

"Starting to be a little more aggressive, assertive," Bayless wrote on X prior to the free throws criticism.

"Like the way he moves on defense, with quick strength."
