GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — On this “To The Point,” we conclude our conversation with the final two candidates running for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat.

To The Point: 2 Republican candidates for US Senate seat

First up former Republican Congressman Mike Rogers talks about the issue important to voters in the state.

“I think you have to do two things on the economy. Some of it is going to take time. Some you can begin immediately. One, you have to slow down and stop so much wasteful government spending,” he said.

Then, businessman Sandy Pensler tackles the same issues.

“It starts with the fundamental recognition that we have to differentiate between what we want and what we need, and we’re not doing that very well in Washington. Families do it every day around the kitchen table, watching TV all the time. In government what we’re doing is ‘“’boy, we want this. We should do this,'” he said.

We wrap our conversation with all six Democratic and Republican primary candidates for the U.S. on this “To The Point” episode for the weekend of July 6.
