GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Some farmers markets across Eastern North Carolina are feeling the summer heat’s impacts on their crops.

They are thankful for the rain that fell on those crops Saturday after little to no rain over the past week.

“We absolutely love the rain, we do not only do our produce, we do crop farming and we do our pumpkins. The rain is going to be a necessity, we’re going to have to have the rain,” Briley’s Farm Market Owner Rachel Whitehurst said.
