Kazuto Ioka vs. Fernando Martinez results for 2024 boxing fight

One of Japan’s greatest-ever warriors Kazuto Ioka will put his WBA super flyweight title on the line against IBF champ Fernando Martinez in an eagerly anticipated unification showdown at the Kokugikan Arena in Tokyo on July 7.

Ioka (31-2-1, 16 KOs) has captured world titles at minimumweight, light flyweight, flyweight, and super flyweight. A veteran of 26 world title fights, Ioka is already a lock for the Hall of Fame, but a victory over a younger and unbeaten champion will only enhance his legacy.

Martinez (16-0, 9 KOs) enters his fourth world title fight. In February 2022, he outpointed long-reigning champion Jerwin Ancajas to win the title and doubled up on that victory in a direct rematch. The 32-year-old slugger is coming off an 11 th -round stoppage of Jade Bornea.
