    Kern County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue seen searching for missing person in Kern River

    BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Sheriff’s deputies were seen at the Delonegha Day Use site on the Kern River Saturday afternoon attempting to locate a person.

    On July 6, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office had an air unit and multiple deputies patrolling the Kern River after a young person had jumped in the water. Around 3 p.m., eyewitnesses at the Delonegha Day Use campsite said officials came up to them asking if they had seen a young person who had jumped in the water.

    The condition of the victim deputies were attempting to locate is unknown at this time.
