PG&E outage map: Over 7,000 without power in Nevada, Calaveras counties

(FOX40.COM) — Power outages in Nevada County have affected over 4,000 PG&E customers, while a power outage in Calaveras County has affected over 3,000 according to the utility’s outage map .

The outage in Nevada County. which was reported around 5:30 p.m., is affecting customers both in the Alta Sierra area, about 10 miles south of Grass Valley, and just south of the community, the map shows.

In Calaveras County, over 3,000 customers are dealing with power outages as well.

The primary areas affected are in and around the area of Angels Camp, about 15 miles south of San Andreas, where 3,540 customers are without power.

The cause of these outages is unknown at this time, but PG&E says that power is expected to be restored around 10:30 p.m. in Nevada County and around 1:15 a.m. in Calaveras County.
