Anthony Davis got to play alongside Stephen Curry during scrimmages on day one of Team USA's training camp for the 2024 Olympics, and he quite liked the experience.

"I’ll tell you what, this guy named Steph Curry is phenomenal to play with," Davis said. "He was on my team today and I got so many open looks."

That is exactly what happens when you play with Curry, who averaged 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game in the 2023-24 NBA season. The 36-year-old has made life so much easier on the court for his teammates over the years thanks to that "gravity" of his.

The opposition has to pay so much attention to Curry when he's on the court due to his shooting prowess, which leads to others getting wide-open looks. Davis has spent years having to deal with that problem while playing against him and it's safe to say he is glad to be on the same team as the Golden State Warriors superstar here.

Now, Curry's teammates on the Warriors this past season weren't quite able to capitalize on those open looks as the team missed the playoffs. You better believe that won't be the case at the Olympics.

Team USA's roster for the grand event is absolutely stacked, with Curry and Davis being joined by the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, and Anthony Edwards. You would have to be a brave man to bet against this group winning the gold in Paris.

Stephen Curry Spoke Ahead Of Training Camp

Curry last played for Team USA all the way back in 2014 at the FIBA World Cup. He has had to pull out from major events for one reason or another and is excited to finally play again for his country. Ahead of Team USA's training camp, Curry spoke about being hyped to be back.

“We’ve got 39 days or so to get locked in to go get this gold medal. 12 amazing, talented guys ready to come together for one goal so I'm hyped for it all. It's been 10 years since I've been on Team USA back in 2014 so I'm hyped to be back."

Curry has never gotten to play in the Olympics and is determined to get his hands on that gold medal in 2024. That medal is the only thing missing from the 10-time All-Star's incredible resume.

As for Davis, he was part of the 2012 gold-medal-winning team. He was the only amateur player on that roster, as he would only get drafted a few months later by the New Orleans Hornets.

Like Curry, Davis missed the 2016 and 2020 Olympics but he wasn't going to pass up on this opportunity. I am not quite sure the nine-time All-Star would get a starting spot, though, with Embiid being on the team.

Curry, however, should start and I think he is going to shine at the Olympics. This will be his first and only opportunity at that gold medal and he is going to leave his all out there on the court. The first game for Curry and Team USA will be against Serbia on July 28.
