    By Stephanie Allison,

Very warm this evening, temperatures will stay in the 80s through sunset. Clear overnight, lows in the 60s.

Hot conditions will kick off the work week along with an uptick in the humidity in the days to come. It will be a nice summer morning, but temperatures soar fast into the mid-80s by late morning. Expect plenty of sunshine with highs reaching the low 90s on Monday. Air Quality Alert will be in effect Monday for Allegheny, Butler, Beaver, Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette, and Armstrong counties Monday. A Code Orange Air Quality Alert means that the air pollution concentrations within the area may become unhealthy for children and the elderly along with people who have asthma, heart disease, or lung issues. For this group of people, you may want to minimize time outdoors.

The heat and increasing humidity will continue Tuesday with highs expected in the low 90s once again. Make sure to stay safe in the sun and heat, stay hydrated and stay cool in the shade as much as possible when outdoors. Don’t forget about your pets, keep them safe from the heat and the hot pavement. Keep them cool in the shade in the grass when outdoors, and make sure they have plenty of water.

Unsettled weather is expected by midweek for Wednesday and Thursday.

We are watching the latest on Beryl which is approaching the Texas coastline. Our team will continue to monitor this system as it moves inland. Right now, the path keeps the bulk of what will be the remnants of Beryl west in the Ohio Valley area tracking into the Great Lakes.
