Florida Is Getting A Brand New Publix In A Shopping Center With A Nail Salon And Restaurant

    2024-07-08

Jacksonville residents who are fans of Publix rejoice! It's no secret that Publix has been adding new locations across Florida - either by building new stores or refurbishing old ones. I've recently written about a new Apollo Beach store, a Fort Myers store closing for a year for refurbishments, and an upcoming Coral Gables Publix that will have a public park. And now a new Publix will open in Jacksonville.

The Plaza At Normandy: Publix will be the anchor in the shopping center The Plaza At Normandy, which is expected to have a Publix Liquor Store, a UPS Store, an AT&T, an Encore Nails, and Xtreme Wings.

The New Publix Itself And The Opening Date: The new store will be located at 11341 Normandy Boulevard in Jacksonville and will be 46,791 square feet. An opening date of August 15, 2024 is expected.

Jacksonville already has a Publix at 7749 Normandy Boulevard. That store is highly rated, earning 4.5 out of 5 stars on Google reviews. Although most people complimented the store's cleanliness and customer service, there were some complaints about wait times at the deli and the congested parking lot.

A reviewer named Brian wrote, in part:

"The only bad thing to say about this location is that the parking lot is a nightmare. I have not been to a bad Publix, and this one definitely lives up to the high standards that the store operates by."

Perhaps having a new Publix closeby will help with some of the parking lot crowding. The author is not affiliated with Publix or any other grocers.
