“Beryl” could bring strong storms Tuesday PM

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — We are looking ahead to Tuesday afternoon/evening/night for the possibility for some strong storms associated with what will be the remnants of “Beryl”.
After the storm makes it’s way ashore as likely a Category 1 Hurricane along the mid-Texas Coast in the wee hours of Monday morning, it will curve northeastward towards the Mississippi and Ohio Valleys, passing just northwest of Middle TN/South KY.
This will put our region in an area vulnerable to severe weather. The possibility for some spin-up tornadoes is in the mix, as well.
A Marginal Risk (level one out of five) for severe storms goes into effect mostly along and north of I-40 on Tuesday into Wednesday morning. This outlook could possibly be upgraded to a higher level for some areas in the future.
A few showers and storms could last through the first half of Wednesday which should start off on the breezy side with southwest and west winds 15-25 mph.
Here is a rough look at a long-range Future Tracker Radar. The emphasis is on Tuesday afternoon, evening, and night for strong storms that could contain a few spin-up tornadoes, as well as damaging winds.
