SULLIVAN TOWNSHIP, Pa. ( WETM ) — A road in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, will be closed for roadwork during the day this week.

South Elk Run Road (Route 1007) will be closed daily between Route 6 (Roosevelt Highway) and Bungy Road (Route 1005) from Monday, July 8, through Friday, July 12, while a PennDOT maintenance crew replaces a pipe.

Road closure, detour coming up in Wilmot Township

The road will only be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day while the crew is working, but inclement weather could change the work hours. A detour using Ritz Road (T-521) and Bungy Road will be in place while the road is closed.

Motorists traveling through this area of Sullivan Township should drive with caution, be alert, and allot more travel time.
