Red Art Games announced the full details about the first Goblin Slayer video game adaptation, coming to Nintendo Switch in 2024.
The popular dark fantasy light novel, manga and anime series Goblin Slayer will be taking on another adaptation form factor this year! It will be releasing a tactical RPG video game called Goblin Slayer -Another Adventurer- Nightmare Feast . The game will be out on Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe in 2024. The current official release is October 25th for both digital and physical formats. It will have an all-new story written by the original series creator, Kumo Kagyu.
Apollosoft ( Langrisser I & II, Ragnarok Tactics ) will be developing the game with French publishing company Red Art Games ( Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising , Calico ). Not only is the story for Goblin Slayer -Another Adventurer- Nightmare Feast being written by the original creator, but the character designs will be drawn by the original series artist Noboru Kannatsuki. In addition to its digital release, the game will also receive both ESRB and PEGI-rated physical Nintendo Switch versions.
Based on the launch trailer, Goblin Slayer -Another Adventurer- Nightmare Feast appeared to be influenced by some pixel art tactical action like the old Fire Emblem games. But it looked to take the best of some of the best modern tactical RPGs like the Banner Saga games and the genre-popular pick Disgaea 5. Players of Final Fantasy Tactics will also recognize the general playstyle. The trailer also revealed that the titular character will encounter numerous familiar faces from the series, such as Priestess, Lizardman and High Elf Archer.
The game’s standard edition will be available from retailers at launch, but there will be some special preorder versions. Here is a breakdown of the two special editions, which can already be preordered from Red Art Games’ official online store:
