Prince William and Harry made King Charles' birthday photo an 'absolute nightmare'

To celebrate King Charles's 70th birthday, the Monarch with his family for an official photo. However, beneath the surface of this image, tensions were brewing , according to a source.

His wife Camilla, sons William and Harry , and daughters-in-law Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton appeared cheerful and at ease, while his grandchildren George, Charlotte, and Louis captivated everyone with their adorable smiles and poses.

Despite the public's positive reception of the photos, it was reported that arranging the family shot was an "absolute nightmare," according to a new book. In the explosive biography Finding Freedom, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand allege that the royal brothers "can be hot and cold with their father" .

Their relationship is further complicated by the fact that Charles is technically their boss . The authors quote a source who revealed: "The boys can be hot and cold with their father."

Arranging the session was "an absolute nightmare. Neither William nor Harry made much of an effort to make themselves available", the source claimed.

The book suggests that at the time of the shoot financial matters often caused friction between Charles and his sons. During his tenure overseeing the Duchy of Cornwall, Charles was responsible for managing much of the princes' expenditure, including the costs of Kate and Meghan's wardrobes.

The authors note: "The brothers sometimes had to vie for additional funds for projects from their father, who also helped to cover expenses related to Camilla and some of those for his sons (including Kate and Meghan's wardrobes).

"They actually genuinely have to debate who gets what amount from their father to fund their projects. While Charles may be a father to Harry, he's also their boss, and that makes their relationship complex for a number of reasons."
