UPDATE (6:55 a.m.) - The Lake Fire has grown to 20,320 acres, according to CAL FIRE.

UPDATE (9:30 p.m.) - The Lake Fire has grown to 18,996 acres, according to CAL FIRE.

UPDATE (8:07 p.m.) - The following areas are now under an Evacuation Order:

• All areas from Figueroa Mountain Road at Junction Camp (including Tunnel Rd.) to Chamberlin Ranch
• All areas from Zaca Lake Road at Foxen Canyon Road north to the Sisquoc River including east of Foxen Canyon Road to the 9000 block

UPDATE (6:50 p.m.) - The Lake Fire is now 8% contained as of early Sunday evening, according to fire officials.

UPDATE (4:34 p.m.) - A new Evacuation Warning has been issued for the areas north of Calzada Avenue, east of East Oak Trail Road, west of Happy Canyon, and south of the Sisquoc River.

Residents in those areas are urged to prepare to leave at a moment's notice.

UPDATE (2:47 p.m.) - The Lake Fire has grown to 16,452 acres, according to the latest CAL FIRE mapping.

The closure on Figueroa Mountain Road has been moved to two miles north of Highway 154.

UPDATE (11:27 a.m.) - The Red Cross has opened an evacuation shelter at the Solvang Veterans Memorial Building for those affected by the Lake Fire.

Water, food and additional resources will be available.

The Solvang Veterans Memorial Building is located at 1745 Mission Drive in Solvang.

UPDATE (9:59 a.m.) - In a video update released Sunday morning, fire officials said the Lake Fire had mostly stayed within its original footprint overnight with some growth in the Figueroa Mountain area. Firefighters will continue to focus on trying to prevent the fire from spreading toward communities to the south.

(8:05 a.m.) - An Evacuation Order has been issued for areas near the Lake Fire as the wildfire continues to grow.

As of late Saturday night, the fire has burned 13,264 acres, according to fire officials, after breaking out near Zaca Lake on Friday afternoon.

The Evacuation Order includes properties along Figueroa Mountain Road from the Grass Mountain Trail Head to the neighborhood within Sawmill Basin, including Tunnel Road and the Figueroa Campground.

Earlier this weekend, Santa Barbara County officials issued Evacuation Warnings for the areas north of Zaca Lake Road, east of Foxen Canyon Road and south of the Sisquoc River, and for areas of Figueroa Mountain Road from the Forest Station to Chamberlin Ranch.

Some of these areas may overlap with the new Evacuation Order. To determine if you are in an evacuation order or warning zone, check out the county’s interactive map at this link .

The Lake Fire is 0% contained and the cause is under investigation.

Temperatures remain high in the area and firefighters are dealing with rugged terrain.

The large amount of smoke generated by the fire prompted Santa Barbara County health officials to issue an Air Quality Watch on Saturday.
