Report: WWE Has Discussed Women’s Intercontinental And United States Titles

WWE might be adding more titles soon, according to a new report, as the company has at least discussed the possibility.

PWN sparked some buzz by reporting that Women’s United States and Intercontinental Champions were in the works, and there would be one for each brand.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select ) reports that he has not heard that it’s a definite, but he has confirmed with sources in the company that the titles have been discussed. Various WWE stars have expressed their hope for more titles in the women’s division in recent years.

Update: Sapp later wrote that talent he spoke with had not heard of the possibility before the report, but they expressed their hope that it would happen. Sapp also cited staff who indicated that they were excited about the possibility as well.

NXT recently added a mid-card title to the women’s division, as the brand crowned the NXT Women’s North American Champion at NXT Battleground.
