When Teahupo'o goes Code Red it's nearly impossible to paddle. Apparently nobody told that to local boy Eimeo Czermak .

Czermak, one of the hardest chargers in the world, is blurring the lines between paddle and tow. While it used to be accepted that the only way to ride Chopes above 10-feet was to whip in from behind a Ski, Czermak is challenging that notion.

Each season Czermak pushes himself a little deeper, a little later, and on a little bigger wave. During the last few swells, every time the horizon goes black and the surfers all scratch outside for safety, Czermak does the exact opposite: He whips it on the inside and sends it over the ledge — for better or worse. While his approach has resulted in as many terrifying wipeouts as it has highlight tubes recently, Czermak is undeterred.

The crazy thing is that despite how wild the waves are that Czermak paddles in the edit above, he's still scratching the surface. It's only a matter of time before Czermak eventually paddles the biggest wave anyone has ever caught at the End of the Road.
