    Opening ceremony kicks off Montgomery County Fair

    DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — The 172nd Montgomery County Fair began Sunday with an Opening Day Ceremony to start the weeklong event.

    The annual fair kicked off on Sunday at noon with an opening day event. The ceremony was hosted by local radio talent, Kim Faris, who was joined on stage by county and state representatives, fair board members and the Junior Fair Queen and Court.

    The Montgomery County Fair runs from July 7 through July 13. Gates will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, located at 645 Infirmary Road in Jefferson Township.

    This year’s theme is “Farm Fresh Fun!” The fair will feature entertainment, rides, games, craft and food vendors and a variety of agriculture competitions.

    Tickets are available at the gate and online for $10. Prices go up to $15 for Friday and Saturday after 4 p.m.
