Some dogs love going to the groomer and some dogs don't. Bennie the Goldendoodle falls in the latter group and he's not happy about it. When Mom picks him up from his summer haircut, he lets her know his true feelings over it all.

The hilarious TikTok video shared by Bennie's Mom Leah Michelle ( @leahmstockton ) shows the drama king giving her the cold shoulder for making him go to the groomer. Take a look!

In the video captioned, "I love my little drama king," Bennie is shown sitting in the front seat of the car directly after he finished his grooming appointment. As his mom tries to get his attention to apologize, Bennie absolutely refuses to look in her direction and blatantly ignores all of her attempts to make it up to him. The funny Goldendoodle is only slightly interested, barely turning her way, once there's mention of a treat. Even then, he's clearly not feeling very forgiving (but he should totally get a treat for this emotionally taxing experience!).

Of the more than 685k likes and 13,000 comments, everyone agrees that Bennie is a total mood.

"When you said kiss he looked further away," one person joked. "At home he packs his stuff and leaves," another adds. Many others chimed in to say this grumpy pup deserves a pup cup for his troubles, but at least his haircut looks good!

How To Help Your Dog's Grooming Anxiety

Bennie's feelings post-grooming are clear, but not all dogs can explain their feelings. Laguna Hills Animal Hospital says there are ways to help your dog's grooming anxiety . Counteract their connection with car rides and grooming by making the rides more fun, be it with treats or their favorite toys. Also, regular bath time at home will help them get used to being handled in places a groomer touches. It's important to practice this when they're already calm or it may make their anxiety worse.

Next, try making the appointment itself fun by giving them something when you arrive in the parking lot to help them associate grooming sounds, scents, and sights with good things.

If, after trying these there's no difference, the site says to talk with your vet about sedation medication to ease their stress. For dogs under high stress that may bite, consider using a muzzle—only if it won't stress them out more. It's important to know your dog and what they can and can't handle.

Some signs your dog has anxiety include:

    • Fast breathing
    • Panting
    • Whining
    • Shaking
    • Hiding
    • Aggressive behavior
    • Vomiting
    • Diarrhea

If any of these are common before, during, or after a grooming session , talk to your vet about possible treatment options.
