On July 5, 2024, the crew of CHP Valley Division Air Operations helicopter H-24 executed a critical medevac at Bullards Bar, responding to a 17-year-old who experienced a severe allergic reaction after being stung by a bee, the CHP stated.

The teenager went into anaphylactic shock and became unresponsive, according to the CHP.

Bystanders quickly initiated CPR, which played a crucial role in the emergency response. H-24, initially en route to a separate incident in Nevada County, promptly diverted to assist, officials stated.

The helicopter landed at the boat ramp and swiftly transported the patient to Rideout Hospital in Marysville for further treatment, according to the CHP.

The swift actions of bystanders and the efficient response of the H-24 crew were instrumental in providing the necessary medical care to the affected individual, the CHP added.
