Dwayne Johnson Helps Make-a-Wish Foundation Grant A “Rush Wish” For 4-Year-Old Girl

Dwayne Johnson made a “rush wish” come true for a four-year-old girl in home hospice care.

The actor, who voiced Maui in the Disney film, posted a video to his Instagram page on July 1st after the girl’s parents asked him to share it with his fans.

The girl, Lily Guerrero, “watches Moana every day, all day,” according to her dad. And her one wish was to have “Dwayne Johnson sing You’re Welcome to her and have it recorded so she can listen to it over and over and over and over.”

Make-A-Wish Foundation requested a “rush wish” because the little girl’s health is quickly declining.

“A ‘rush’ wish means what the implication sounds like, which is time is just not on our side when it comes to this particular wish,” Dwayne said in his video.

“Of course, Mom and Dad have asked that I share this wish on social media to share Lily’s spirit and strength and her mana,” he added. “And, of course, we take that energy and we send it right back to Lily.”

After offering some facts about Lilly, Dwayne Johnson, jumped into the sweet performance and sang just as he did when he played the Demi-god. Following the song, Dwayne shared how much it meant to him to connect with Lily.

“Thank you so much for allowing me the privilege to make your Make-a-Wish come true, me singing You’re Welcome in a few keys I’m quite sure don’t exist,” he said. “I hope you enjoyed it. And, Lily, you’re so special.”

“Lily Guerrero, it’s my honor and this one is for you….” he wrote in his caption. “I love you, and I want you to always know just how special you are .”

Dwayne Johnson has been active with Make-A-Wish throughout his career. Not only has he granted wishes, but he’s also raised tens of thousands through campaigns like #SmolderForGood, which brought in $20,000 in 2019.
