Stephanie Vaquer Has A Huge Decision To Make

Stephanie Vaquer recently became known to North American wrestling fans after she wrestled Mercedes Moné at Forbidden Door. Yet despite not being victorious, she impressed fans with her performance, leading many to believe it would only be a matter of time before she joined a major US promotion. And now it has been reported by record.com.mx that the Chilean wrestler has actually received offers from both AEW and WWE, for whom she tried out in 2018, with it expected that she will make her decision in the coming days.

“WWE and AEW executives have approached Stephanie Vaquer to let her know that they are interested in hiring her, putting more than one offer on the table each company to convince her to join their ranks. It will be in the next few days when the Chilean fighter will decide with which of the two companies she will sign a multi-year contract that will allow her to have an international projection.”

31-year-old Vaquer holds both Chilean and Mexican citizenship, which opened the door for her wrestling for CMLL, where she has achieved great success and currently works. However, she has also competed in Japan for Ice Ribbon, Stardom, and New Japan, establishing herself as a true international talent. And while it isn’t known whether she prefers signing with WWE or AEW, as of late, Tony Khan has been showing off his financial muscle by signing Will Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada, and Mercedes Moné despite WWE’s interest.
