    ‘It takes a village’: Southwest Denton County police, firefighters gather for active shooter training

    In the rapidly growing communities of southwest Denton County, police and fire departments are also burgeoning. These agencies are hiring new recruits and encountering new public safety needs.

    With all that change, these southwestern agencies are making an effort to integrate with their neighbors in case of joint response to public threats, such as an active shooter or mass casualty event.
