A hot & humid start to this week

Dangerous heat & humidity today! The heat index will be up around 100! Make sure you drink extra water and use caution in this heat! Remember the pets too! Temperatures settle a little midweek, but it will be humid for the full week ahead! There will be a rising thunder and shower threat mid to late week too!

Hurricane Beryl made landfall on Texas coast early this morning! Dangerous flooding rains, storm surge, gusty winds & tornadoes expected. The heaviest rain from Beryl should stay to our northwest later this week, but we will have to watch some moisture & winds getting dragged up from the Atlantic Ocean in to the large scale circulation to our northwest.

Early this morning: Patchy areas of low clouds with fog, very humid! Lows in the low 70s.

Today: Hydrate! A Heat Advisory is up for most of Connecticut! Hazy, hot and humid. Highs in the upper 80s to middle 90s. It will feel like around 100 degrees!

Tonight: A nice evening with late clouds & fog. An isolated shower possible with tough sleeping weather. Lows in the 60s to middle 70s and very humid.

Tomorrow: Hazy sun and humid with an isolated late day storm in northern CT. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, breezy and humid. Afternoon storms possible with highs in the middle and upper 80s.

Thursday: Partly sunny, becoming windy and humid with showers & storms likely. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Friday: Warm and humid with showers & storms. Highs mid and upper 80s.

Saturday: Bright, hot and humid with an isolated storm. Highs 85 to near 90.

Sunday: Hot and humid, mainly sunny. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.
