    Several bridges in Tuscarawas County to be closed to traffic for bridge inspections

    NEW PHILADELPHIA ‒ The Tuscarawas County Engineers Office has announced that several area bridges will be closed to traffic in the coming days for bridge inspections with a Snooper Truck.

    The times are tentative depending on the weather and the length of time needed for each inspection.

    Monday ‒ Crossroads Road, Sandy Township, eight hours beginning 8 a.m.

    Tuesday ‒ Crossroads Road, Sandy Township, two to four hours; Sandyville Road, Sandy Township, two to four hours.

    Wednesday ‒ New Cumberland Road, Warren Township, two to four hours; Eastport Avenue, Uhrichsville, two to four hours.

    Thursday ‒ Johnson Hill Road, Oxford Township, two to four hours; River Hill Road, Salem Township, two to four hours.

    Friday ‒ Schneiders Crossing Road (west of Interstate 77), Dover Township, two to four hours.
