Rice Krispies and s'mores go amazingly well together. This easy no-fuss dessert is perfect for a summertime treat. You don't have to turn on your oven and you won't spend much time in the kitchen to get a tasty dessert.

Feel free to use graham crackers or graham cracker cereal. You can also use chocolate bars, chocolate chips, or sweetened baking chocolate.

    Ingredients

    • 3 tablespoons butter
    • 1 package (10 ounces) marshmallow (regular or mini)
    • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
    • 2 cups Golden Grahams cereal (or crushed graham crackers)
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2 cups mini marshmallows
    • 4 Hershey bars broken into pieces (or 2 cups chocolate chips)

    Instructions

    1. Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper or grease with butter.
    2. Melt the butter over low heat in a large saucepan. Add 10 ounces of marshmallows and stir gently until melted and smooth.
    3. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Carefully fold in cereal and 1 cup of mini marshmallows until the cereal is completely coated with melted marshmallow.
    4. Add half of the marshmallow-cereal mixture to your pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup mini marshmallows and half of the chopped chocolate.
    5. Add the remainder of the marshmallow-cereal mixture and press gently (but not too hard).
    6. Top with the remaining chopped chocolate and mini marshmallows pressing gently into the cereal mixture.
    7. Let it cool and cut it into squares for serving.
