    All lanes of Highway 72 in Limestone County open after single-vehicle crash

    DECATUR, Ala. ( WHNT ) — All lanes have reopened after a single-vehicle crash closed part of U.S. Highway 72 near Hardy Road Monday morning.

    All lanes are now open after a single-vehicle crash closed Highway 72 in Limestone County. Brandon Bailey told News 19 around 2:45 p.m. that the westbound lanes were finally reopened following the wreck. The eastbound lanes were reopened earlier Monday morning.

    17-year-old dies in car wreck in Jackson County

    Senior Trooper Cody Farrar with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said on Monday at 7:09 a.m., there was a wreck involving a commercial vehicle on Highway 72 near Hardy Road.

    ALEA said it was a single-vehicle crash and the road would be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
