    Expunction Expo opens in Dallas County allowing some to clear their criminal record

    DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- Dallas County reopens a program that may allow some to clear their criminal record.

    The program is called Expunction Expo and it opens Monday morning offering some a way to clear their record and get back on track, finding a job, going to college or even serving in the military.

    The expunction program allows, among others, those arrested but not charged, those that were acquitted, or those that completed deferred adjudication.

    This will be the 7th year the program has been operated between the DA and county public defenders allowing those caught in the system to once again become a contributing member of society.

    Applicants can apply online beginning at 8 Monday morning. The program is limited to 500 applicants.
