The Philadelphia 76ers honored Tyrese Maxey and his new five-year, $204 million contract extension with an unprecedented presentation .

The Sixers' front office headed by Daryl Morey and ownership lead by Joshua Harris and David Blitzer have been in the crosshairs of fans, especially of late. For this, however, the organization deserves credit.

The Sixers released this video showing how they honored Maxey at their facility, playing audio messages from Dawn Staley, John Calipari, Joel Embiid and his family. Maxey's family, Embiid, Julius Erving, Rich Paul, and others were all on-hand during the presentation.

In the video, which now has 2.2 million views and counting on X , shows a clip of Embiid calling Maxey the best teammate he's ever had and believes the two of them can win a championship together. At the end of the video, Maxey thanks Embiid for coming and reiterates that Embiid was the first one to believe in him.

Maxey's agent, Rich Paul, says in the video that this is the greatest presentation for a player he has ever seen in his 23-year career as an NBA agent.

"There is something so awesome and authentic about Tyrese Maxey being drafted here, becoming an All-Star, getting this contract...Maxey was guaranteed nothing coming into the NBA, not even a starting job," Eliot Shorr-Parks said on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show.

Another big story from the video is the Sixers presented Maxey with a No. 20 throwback black jersey from the Allen Iverson . Many believe the Sixers leaked that they are bringing these jerseys back for the 2024-25 season.

Sixers former president Chris Heck hated the black throwback uniforms and was reportedly the reason why the team had not previously brought them back.

"If we're going to rip them for the culture, I think they deserve credit for doing something like that," Shorr-Parks said about the Sixers' presentation for Maxey.
