Production on Luca Guadagnino‘s next thriller drama After the Hunt has finally started. This comes after the theatrical release of MGM’s Zendaya-led tennis drama Challengers, which still currently has a Certified Fresh rating of 88% on Rotten on Tomatoes.

Golden Globe winner Chloë Sevigny took to Instagram to confirm the upcoming movie’s filming start with a behind-the-scenes photo of the cast. This project will serve as Sevigny’s latest collaboration with Guadagnino after 2020’s We Are Who We Are series and 2022’s Bones and All movie.

Who’s in the After the Hunt cast?

In addition to American Horror Story alum, After the Hunt will also be led by Oscar winner Julia Roberts (Erin Brockovich) and Emmy winner Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), along with Oscar nominees Andrew Garfield (Hacksaw Ridge) and Michael Stuhlbarg (Call Me By Your Name). They will be joined by Lio Mehiel (WeCrashed), Ariyan Kassam (Batwheels) and Will Price (Goosebumps), who are also featured in the cast photo.

The film is being directed by Guadagnino from a screenplay written by Nora Garrett. It is executive produced by Garrett and Karen Lunder, with Guadagnino, Brian Glazer and Allan Mandelbaum producing. It is a production by Amazon MGM Studios, Imagine Entertainment, and Frenesy.

“It follows a college professor who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star pupil levels an accusation against one of her colleagues, and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light,” reads the synopsis.
