Your Baby Wipes Could Contain Toxic Chemicals — Try These PFAS-Free Brands Instead
By Kristine Solomon,

Do you know exactly what you're wiping your baby's bottom with? A recent report found several popular baby wipes — including some plant-based ones like Coterie and WaterWipes — contained high levels of PFAS . These notorious "forever chemicals" don't readily break down in the environment and can contribute to developmental delays, early puberty, thyroid dysfunction, cancer, and more.
The findings have led to a class action lawsuit against another popular baby wipe brand, Kirkland, and encouraged parents to switch to PFAS-free baby wipes, most of which are also largely plant-based , biodegradable, zero-waste , and/or fragrance-free.
Are you ready to make the switch too? The five brands below leave out a laundry list of toxic chemicals commonly found in personal hygiene products — scary stuff like formaldehyde, chlorine, and alcohol, to name a few — as well as PFAs. We selected brands that have been vetted by major regulating organizations like the Food and Drug Administration and Environmental Working Group . Feel good about stocking your diaper bag with these all-natural picks.
