Watch: 2024 Session 3 Recap at High Cascade

BBQs, pool parties, humidity, fireflies, camp outs--the stuff of summer that arrives each year as we hang up our snowboards and wait patiently for winter. Like clockwork, these things (and others, depending on your locale) define the warm weather. And you know what else does? The summer camp recap video.

Years ago, when content creation was not a job title, we all would wait only partially patiently for the summer camp session recaps to drop from High Cascade. Not only did the videos quench our thirst for snowboarding when there we were all quite parched, but they were a magnifying glass on rising riding and filmmaking talent. Generations of pros have come up through the session recaps. HCSC filmers have gone on to be the storytellers of snowboarding for years and years. These videos were not only a summer life raft, but a rite of passage for so many.

Our relationship with videos may have changed in the past ten-plus years but that doesn't mean that the institution of the session recap video is still not as awesome it once was. Mt. Hood is a breeding ground for talent and a special place to spend the summer, and the session recaps give all of us not in Oregon a glimpse at the riding that is on the come up--along with the summer abandon of established pros who visit HCSC.

The latest Signature Session at High Cascade was the Burton team. Mikey Ciccarelli, Rob Roethler, Danny Davis, Grace Warner, Raibu Katayama, Luke Winkelmann, and more were at camp to shred, play dodgeball, and enjoy all that HCSC has to offer.
