General Motors Co. and Optilogic, a supply chain design software developer, recently formed a strategic supply agreement.

Under the terms of the agreement, General Motors will use Cosmic Frog, Optilogic’s supply chain solution, in its Customer Care and Aftersales organization. The software will enable the organization to solve complex supply chain design problems.

The software will allow General Motors to analyze its supply chain network from the group level, such as customers, suppliers and sub-assemblies, to individual parts with separate SKUs.

This will enable the company to collaborate, co-create and share supply chain design models in real-time. The company, with the aid of up-to-date access to results and the ability to create new models and run different scenarios, can anticipate results in hours as opposed to days or months.

“It’s a privilege and an honor to have been selected by GM, and the entire Optilogic team is committed to our customers’ success,” Optilogic CEO and Founder Don Hicks said.

Cosmic Frog is the only supply chain design platform on the market that combines optimization, simulation, and risk engines, and includes a risk score on every scenario. Solutions include CapEx planning, cost-to-serve, intelligent greenfield analysis and site selection, M&A analysis, near-shoring/reshoring, network design, and product flow.
